BlackBerry Launches Classic Q20

BlackBerry has decided that going back to basics is the best option for the struggling manufacturer. The firm has released the Q20, which showcases a design that is the same as more classic mobile phones from the Canadian manufacturer.

The company brought two smartphones to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 in Barcelona.

The flagship handset is the BlackBerry Q20, which top boss John Chen has cited as a "classic", featuring the same design that users saw on the company's Bold range of smartphones. Indeed it brings a small trackpad and hard navigation keys, as well as the traditional QWERTY keyboard.

It also features a 3.5-inch display and will arrive alongside the new BES 12 enterprise system towards the end of 2014, which expands device integration across a number of other platforms.

The other BlackBerry handset is a five-inch Blackberry Z3, with a release date set for April this year, though there is no news about whether it will arrive in the UK or even Europe.
