BlackBerry 10 operating system offers "faster, smarter and smoother experie
BlackBerry chief executive Thorsten Heins officially launched the BlackBerry 10 (BB10) operating system at a press event in New York on January 30th.
A "faster, smarter and smoother experience" alongside a host of software innovations and a revamped BlackBerry World application store could help to attract customers.
The Canadian manufacturer continues to cater for business users, as the Balance feature helps owners to keep work and personal profiles separate.
Safeguard technology ensures that information accessed is secure, while Remember works alongside Microsoft Outlook to provide an impressive productivity solution.
Intelligent keyboard and dictionary software will aid those with touch-screen mobile phones, facilitating quicker and more accurate text composition.
This will be beneficial alongside the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) service, which has now been developed to offer video and voice chat functions.
Users will also be able to enjoy an improved web browsing experience thanks to an "incredibly fast" browser which allows multiple tabs, private viewing and provides a reader mode.
The company will be pinning its hopes on the success of Q10 and Z10 BB10 smartphones, after recently posting losses in the face of competition from market leaders Samsung and Apple.
