Augmented Reality Orange GlastoNav On IPhone For Festival

Festival-goers set to attend Glastonbury, which gets underway next week, have been told by Orange about a free app for the Apple iPhone.

The augmented reality version of GlastoNav will be available on the iPhone during the festival week, although the java app can be used across a number of different handsets.

iPhone users who download the augmented reality version will find the camera function creates a visual guide of Glastonbury, allowing people to navigate around the 1,100-acre site.

A 2D map with zoom is also up for grabs by iPhone users, who can see pop-ups on the map which show bars, toilets, cash machines and information points.

"GlastoNav is the best way to find your way around the Glastonbury festival site and make sure you and your mates don't miss a thing," explained head of sponsorship at Orange UK Andrew Pearcey.

Orange's High-Definition Voice is currently on trial in the south of England.
