Asus PadFone Mini Launches

Asus has launched its brand new seven-inch mobile phone in the form of the PadFone Mini.

Many assumed the company may wait until the CES 2014 at the start of January but Asus has decided to get ahead of the pack. This could be a wise move as a lot of bigger names will be showing off their new products at the massive media event.

The PadFone Mini is a phablet, combining a phone with a tablet, and provides customers with a cheaper option to the company's Infinity.

It comes running Android 4.3 and brings a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and a microSD slot.

The Asus PadFone Mini has only been released in Taiwan at the moment but the company hasn't said anything about when it will come to the UK.

According to Engadget, the Padfone Infinity line will launch in the US soon, with the UK following suit. At the moment, the device is set at NT$11,990 (about £246).
