Apples Cheaper 8GB IPhone 5C Arrives

Apple has released a cheaper version of its iPhone 5C mobile phone, giving users 8GB of storage.

Rumours emerged yesterday (March 17th) from an O2 retailer that Apple would be releasing a cheaper version of its plastic, "affordable" handset - and now it has arrived.

However, it will only be released in specific regions including Europe and Australia so if you visit Apple's UK store, you will now see the device. There is the usual 16GB and 32GB versions but now there is also the little 8GB brother.

It still stretches the realms of what affordable really means as it carries a price tag of £429, which is £40 cheaper than the next storage upgrade.

In the UK, O2 is also offering the 8GB iPhone 5C, while it looks as though other carriers don't have the handset yet.

However, users should be aware that, although it advertises 8GB, iOS 7 takes up around 3GB of storage and Apple doesn't give the option of expanding storage at a later date with microSD cards.
