Apple users are more loyal than Android
Apple and Google Android are the two most dominant operating systems in the world and they have a market share of around 75 per cent, but it seems users of iPhones are more loyal.
According to new data compiled by mobile app analytics firm Localytics, Apple users are 52 per cent more loyal to apps than Android users.
It stated that 35 per cent of Apple users launch an app more than ten times after downloading compared with just 23 per cent of Android consumers.
Samsung - running on Android - recently released a free app to users in the UK that would allow them to transfer contacts and data over from an iPhone.
Overall, the number of people using apps is on the rise.
Director of online marketing at Localytics Daniel Ruby added: "The general public surely gained experience over the last year too, and are likely making more informed, discerning choices about what apps to try."
