Apple set to launch large-screen iPhone?
Apple is rumoured to be considering a move away from tradition by launching larger screen devices, with the iPhone set for a display revamp.
The Cupertino-based company has resisted following its Android-making competitors into the large-screen market, but it appears this could be set to change in the near future.
David Hsieh, vice president of DisplaySearch revealed in a company blog post that Apple will be relying on display technology for new product innovations in the late part of this year and into 2014.
The move comes as the iPhone's four-inch, 640 x 1,136 pixels, 326 ppi display has been superseded by higher resolution displays that have made their mark in the very latest Android smartphones off the production line.
The latest research suggest that Apple is looking to launch two versions of the iPhone 6, one with a 4.7-inch display and one with a 5.7-inch display.
