Apple products 'popular with women'
Apple has topped a recent poll conducted by Solutions Research Group - asking gadget-hungry females what their most respected technology brand is.
The manufacturer of the iPhone emerged ahead of a number of its peers with 20 per cent of respondents citing the firm.
This was followed by Sony (14 per cent) which is, of course the parent company to the brand that has brought the Walkman and Cyber-shot line of models to the market.
Other companies named included Microsoft - the group behind the Windows Mobile operating system - and Hewlett-Packard, which has also made mobile phones in the past.
Donna Hall, co-director of the research, commented: "Teens and young women influence their parents' choices while moms make choices for themselves and their children."
Apple's iPhone 3G is exclusive to the O2 network in the UK on the latest contracts as well as pay-as-you-go tariffs.
