Apple loses Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales ban appeal in Holland
Apple has been dealt a blow as another of its attempts to ban Samsung from selling its Galaxy 10.1 tablet has failed in the Netherlands, meaning people will still be able to recycle their mobile phones to get hold of the device.
The firm was challenging a decision from August 2011 that ruled the Galaxy 10.1 did not infringe on any design patents relating to the iPad devices but the Gerechthof's-Gravenhange court in The Hague dismissed the appeal.
A Samsung spokesperson told V3 that this ruling once again proves that Apple products don't warrant the intellectual property protections the company believes it deserves.
"Samsung will continue to take all appropriate measures, including legal action, to ensure continued consumer access to our innovative products," the spokesperson said.
Apple recently filed another suit against Samsung, seeking the ban of the sales of mobile phones such as the Galaxy S Plus and the S II in Germany.
