Apple iPhone set to benefit Sainsbury's shoppers
Supermarket shopping may be about to come a whole lot easier for mobile users thanks to the latest technology for the Apple iPhone.
A pair of apps specially designed for the handset have been released by Sainsbury's and Nectar, which allow consumers to add points to their total and gain access to exclusive in-store offers.
Individuals who download the app can now track how many points they have and use the reward locator to work out where to collect and spend them.
Meanwhile, personalised deals will be sent by the retail firm to each shopper's mobile phone.
Mike Coupe, Sainsbury's Group commercial director, notes: "Our customers are always looking for ways to save money and time and the Sainsbury's app will allow them to do just that."
Qatar Airways this week became the latest company to offer an improved service through the iPhone, as it unveiled an app that allows passengers to check-in for flights through their mobile.
