Apple iPhone 3G deal links O2 broadband
Those selling mobile phones to pay an Apple iPhone 3G may be impressed with O2's announcement that the gadget will now be offered with a number web facilities.
Existing and new subscribers can take advantage of the company's O2 Home Broadband products when they add the 3 GB Internet Tethering Bolt On to their tariff between now and December 31st 2009.
Peter Rampling, head of consumer mobile at the group, added the announcement means for those prepared to pay a little extra for a home web connection, the Apple iPhone 3G is now better value than ever.
"Effectively you get both for just £9.79 a month. Total connectivity means our customers will always be connected, at home and on the move," he added.
This week, Alex Buttle wrote in a blog piece for Top 10 Broadband that as a loyal, long-term Orange customer, he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of the smartphone on his favoured network.
He said: "The news that I can finally get an iPhone on Orange is really quite sweet."
