Apple iPad to be used in US election
The Apple iPad's ability to change the world has been illustrated once more, as it is today (November 8th) being used in a US election.
Voters in the state of Oregon will be able to have their democratic say through the iconic product, made by the Californian technology company.
Five counties in the state are being asked to make nominations for a replacement for David Wu, who has recently resigned after a sex scandal.
It marks a significant change in Oregon, where all elections since 2000 have been conducted entirely by post.
However, representatives will today hit the streets, shops and workplaces of the state with Apple iPads in tow to allow people to vote.
The idea was originally dreamed up as a way to make it easier for disabled people to cast their vote.
Apple iPad and iPhone users were last week given a piece of good news when it was announced that a new Gmail app had been launched for both devices.
