Android-powered mobile phones 'offer great apps'
Those who trade-in a mobile phone and upgrade to a device that runs on the Android operating system can rest assured they will have access to some great apps.
Luke Westaway, writing for CNET UK, says there are plenty of features that provide genuine competition and viable alternatives to those offered by Apple to iPhone users.
In his latest article, the author recommends a number of the top games that can be enjoyed by Android customers.
He starts by nominating City Jump, which allows mobile owners to jump between buildings in built-up areas, as well as Air Control – an app that is all about landing virtual planes on runways.
Other titles include Jewels, Hungry Shark Free and Peggy, all of which are successful adaptations of iPhone games.
"All these games are available for free download from the Android Marketplace, so just search for them from your Android device to get installing," Mr Westaway confirms.
Among the consumers to use Android are those with HTC phones, such as the recently released HTC Desire HD.
