Nokia mobile phone users to enjoy enhanced Symbian service
Nokia has confirmed measures will be taken to simplify its development process, allowing mobile phone users to enjoy more advanced apps on the Symbian platform.
The Finnish brand will remove obstacles and clarify rules for those who are responsible for producing apps and other functions that end up as part of its handsets.
It has also suggested it will support the HTML5 technology so that it is in a position to create an improved web browsing platform for its customers.
Rich Green, chief technology officer at Nokia, says: "We're making strategic technology decisions that will accelerate our ability to offer the strongest possible opportunity for developers and the richest possible experience for consumers."
With the promise of further enhancements to come, some mobile users may deem it worthwhile to trade-in their used phone in favour of splashing out on a Nokia device.
The company has recently released its long-awaited N8 model, featuring a 12-megapixel camera, video recording technology and a stylish aluminium case.
