Mobile recycling could allow consumers to use the internet
A recent announcement from Nokia could soon see an increasing number of people accessing the internet and using their mobile phone to do so.
The mobile operator has reported that it has acquired the mobile browser and services platform Novarra with the intention of helping more customers go online while on the move.
Niklas Savander, executive vice-president of services for Nokia, suggested that thanks to increasing innovation across its range of handsets it is forming one of the biggest consumer audiences for web services and content.
He said: "Connecting the next billion consumers to the Internet will happen primarily on mobile devices and delivering an optimised internet experience on our devices is core to our mission."
Selling an old mobile phone with Mazuma could provide consumers with cash to put towards a new device.
It has recently been announced that the Nokia E72 - the follow-up to the E71 - will be made available to 3UK customers.
