LG Passes 10m LTE Sales Mark

LG has claimed that it has now sold more than ten million devices which feature long term evolution (LTE) technology.

The mobile phone manufacturer said it has been just six months since the five million-mark was passed amid high demand from consumers who are looking to take advantage of the increased speeds which are capable with 4G connections.

An official press release from Park Jong-seok, president and chief executive of LG's mobile communications division, revealed: "Aggressive pushing forward with 4G LTE technology allows LG to satisfy the needs of consumers and is a huge factor in our growing success in global LTE smartphone sales."

Just last week, LG showed off a number of new devices at Mobile World Congress 2013 which feature 4G LTE connectivity on a budget.

The 3.2-inch L3II, four-inch L5II and 4.3-inch L7II will be joined by high-end mobile phones in the shape of the Optimus F5 and F7.
