HTC Hero Shoppers Could Be Inspired By New Initiative

With a number of tempting handsets like the HTC Hero currently available, a new initiative could buoy those seeking cash for used mobiles.

It was announced this week that Aberdeen city council is backing a local drive to encourage the reuse of electrical equipment in line with the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) directive.

The local government body has done this by improving its recycling centres in the region and took the opportunity to highlight the importance of getting involved with such eco-friendly practices.

Councillor Mark McDonald said: "By making it easier for residents to recycle their electrical waste, we can make a significant impact on the amount we are sending to landfill and thus reduce the burden to the city from landfill tax payments."

Of course, those looking to obtain cash for their mobile phones can also avoid their device going underground by handing it over to Mazuma, which could also provide them the money they need to fund the purchase of a handset like the HTC Hero.
