Apple iPhone 6 leaks: Not as different as believed?
Apple iPhone 6 rumours have hardly been thin on the ground in recent times, with many leaks coming from all over the web purporting to show the Cupertino giant's latest handset in all its glory.
However, while many showed the phone in a shape that differed quite significantly from versions of the phone we've seen in the past, the latest images coming from a reliable source appear to indicate more subtle differences.
Prolific Apple leaker Sonny Dickson sent the images to a range of sources, and they appear to show a new device that is markedly bigger than its predecessor.
However, the images, which show the alleged iPhone 6 both on its own and side by side with an iPhone 5S - the current model - seem to indicate that the phone's shape will not be vastly different from that seen in recent years.
The photos appear to show a larger device that is believed to be 4.7 inches in size, but while previous leaks have shown a bezel that is virtually non existent, this new leak is different. The side bezels do indeed look smaller than what we've seen before, but the top and bottom ones appear the same as on the iPhone 5S.
Additionally, the softer curves and more rounded version of the iPhone that has become a frequent rumour appears to not be true, if Dickson is on the ball as usual.
So, what else did we learn from this leak? Well it looks like Apple may have ironed out some of the manufacturing issues it's had around release dates in recent years.
While the white variants of iPhones are often delayed because of issues with getting the colour just right, it looks like this year we could see the device come in both black and white from day one, with both colours having been shown in the Sonny Dickson images.
And with only a little over two months to go until the rumoured launch date, it won't be long until we know just who has got it right this time out.
