Mobile network 3UK has launched a new system at the Gadget Show in Birmingham which hopes to allow users to achieve consistent Wi-Fi access in the car.
This move may prove popular with a variety of mobile phone users - whether they use the internet for business or leisure - as there is no need for a USB connection or wires.
David Kerrigan, head of internet services at 3UK, said: "We're always looking at new products and services that connect our customers in more places both at home and on the move and In Car Wi-Fi does this."
Research carried out by the network found that more than 25 per cent of people surveyed are interested in using the internet in their cars.
3UK recently revealed that its customers can use the social networking site Twitter free of charge.
