Does your child use a mobile phone to access social networking sites?
Children who access social networking sites such as Facebook using their mobile phone and home computer may soon be afforded extra protection, if suggestions are anything to go by.
Facebook has previously faced criticism from the Child Exploitation and Online Protection centre as it is yet to install panic buttons on its pages to protect children from harm.
"If this can save one child from any form of abuse, then it's a good thing. I think that giving easy access to people to be able to record this type of problem is crucial," said Tony Neate, managing director of Get Safe Online.
He added that he will lend his support to all calls for social networking sites and others to implement this technology for the sake of children.
A recent Halifax report found children in the UK spend an average of £383 on technology - including mobile phones - each year.
