Sony Ericsson's W302 'classy, stylish and cheap'
Sony Ericsson has launched another music-focused mobile phone that delivers on audio performance, according to a new review.
In an article for the 3G website, attention is given to the manufacturer's latest Walkman device - the W302 - and although similar in many ways to its predecessors the phone is singled out for praise in a number of areas.
The site notes a number of "nifty apps" are enough to create interest, but adds this is an entry-level model in the same vein as the W205, W350i and W395 and therefore has some drawbacks.
Despite this, the W302 - which is available in matt black or sparkling white - follows other Sony Ericsson phones in offering "a style and class that a lot of other budget phones fail to achieve".
Audio quality is praised as typical of the brand and although the two-megapixel camera is said to be not up to scratch, the site concludes the "very decent price" will attract some.
The Walkman range takes its name from the iconic personal stereos produced by Sony from 1979 onwards.
