Selling Old Mobile May Be Answer To Tariff Confusion

Almost half (42 per cent) of people find mobile phone tariffs confusing, possibly contributing to the £800 million being wasted by Britons each year because they are on an inefficient charging scheme.

Research by Top10.com also reveals some 46 per cent of users are currently concerned they are paying out too much for their handset as a result of signing up to the wrong tariff.

One way to change this could be to trade in a mobile phone with Mazuma and put the cash towards the latest model on a new deal.

Speaking of the importance of having a tariff that matches usage, the website's Alex Buttle notes: "This is even more important now that new devices like the iPhone and HTC smartphones come with long contracts, generally lasting 24 months."

The iPhone 4 was released in the UK last month and comes on a range of contracts and pay-as-you-go deals with several networks, such as O2 and Orange.
