Samsung Jet put to the test
Having been announced in June, one reviewer has managed to put the Samsung Jet under the microscope this week.
In an article for Mobile Burn, Michael Oryl described the South Korean firm's new handset as "a very desirable phone" that is fast and functional thanks to its onboard 800MHz processor.
He explained the manufacturer had succeeded in creating a device that was not only quick, but could also be referred to as "smarter than a smart phone".
The Samsung Jet - which also goes by the name of the S8000 - boasts a 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, five-megapixel camera, support for both DivX and XviD playback, and integrated SRS sound.
However, those in the market for something more focused on text messaging and email may be more interested in the comments of Desire Athow of IT Pro Portal.
The writer recently reviewed the Nokia E71 and said it was an affordable qwerty-enabled option that was difficult to ignore..
"It is the smartphone's keyboard that we found the most compelling," he explained.
