LG GW520 Does What It Sets Out To Do

Those looking to sell mobilephones they no longer need could use the cash to buy the latest model from one South Korean firm.

It was noted in an article for Trusted Reviews this week that it is clear the company behind the LG GW520 is looking to put out a device that offers smartphone technology at a low price.

Available on pay-as-you-go for around £129, the site advised buyers to expect a "perfectly smart looking device" that boasts an "excellent" full qwerty keyboard and 2.8-inch touchscreen.

The three-megapixel camera is one area highlighted by the site as indicative of where LG has had to cut corners on the device, but despite this, microSD support for up to 8GB "gives the phone potential to double as an mp3 player".

It concluded: "The LG GW520 accomplishes what it sets out to - it's a low cost 3G handset with a touchscreen and slide-out qwerty keyboard."

Those looking for a more high-tech model from the firm have options like the Arena and Viewty Smart to choose from.
