HTC Magic competition launched by Vodafone
Vodafone has announced details of a new competition that will allow consumers the opportunity to test their intelligence in order to win one of its latest phones.
In support of the HTC Magic, a new network-exclusive device that is the third to be launched in the UK with Google Android operating system (OS) on board, the carrier is giving eleven away.
Entrants must come up with an application that will run on the software that is innovative and inspiring, with the winner awarded a device for themselves - along with £1,000 cash.
Ten runners up will be given a HTC Magic as a prize and Vodafone used the announcement to highlight the benefits of the Google OS.
"The [Magic] is known for its wide array of impressive Android apps," it explained, adding: "Your application could be the next big thing for mobile phone users the world over."
Other handsets that have so far featured the OS include the T Mobile G1 and Hero - both of which are manufactured by HTC.
