Fans could trade in mobile to get best World Cup deal
Users who trade in an old mobile with Mazuma may find themselves in the perfect position to take advantage of an offer by Three UK.
The network is cutting its charges for football fans heading to the World Cup in South Africa with a mobile phone.
It will take 50 per cent off its data roaming tariff, making it only £1.25 per megabyte to email, browse the internet and update social networks.
Fans who want to stay in touch with friends and family in the UK may be interested to learn calls from South Africa have been cut to £1.40 a minute to make and 99p a minute to receive.
Marc Allera, sales and marketing manager at Three UK, says: "Smartphones mean that data roaming is now mainstream, but some operator's data roaming prices are still eye-wateringly high. "
People who get cash for an old mobile with Mazuma could use it to put towards a new handset on the Three network.
However, there are only nine days to do so if they are to have their new mobile by the time the first match kicks off.
