Windows Phone 7 may be "incredibly popular" with those selling mobiles
People who sell mobiles and then start the hunt for a replacement device may increasingly be turning to Windows Phone 7-based handsets.
Ashley Highfield, Microsoft UK's managing director of consumer and online, explained the operating system has performed well since it was launched.
He noted that a number of surveys have concluded that Windows Phone 7 customers are satisfied with the experience the platform offers.
The expert went on to identify the inclusion of features such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Outlook have helped to make the system what it is.
"It's these unique features of a Windows phone that we are really improving and we think we have a really distinctive offering," Mr Highfield stated.
The emergence of the new Mango operating system is another step forward for Windows and comes with approximately 500 new functions.
Windows Phone 7 was developed by Microsoft as a replacement for its Windows Mobile platform.
