Vodafone exclusive proves "difficult to put down"
A reviewer has been so won over by Google Android that he admits he has had some trouble leaving it alone.
In an article looking at the latest phone to come equipped with the operating system - the HTC Magic - Russell Jeffries of Mobile Burns suggests that although in its infancy, the software is highly addictive.
He states there is much to like about the Vodafone-exclusive handset, but adds the lack of a 3.5mm headphone socket and less than impressive battery life are among its weaknesses.
However, Mr Jeffries goes on to explain the Android system which debuted on the T Mobile G1 last year is as enjoyable to get to grips with as it ever was.
"From the beginning [...] Android gets one thing right - it is great fun to use, which makes it difficult to put down at times," he concludes.
T Mobile's G1 handset is also built by HTC - and the pair are the only two models available in the UK that use the Google platform.
