Trading-in mobile may allow staff to work from anywhere
Businesspeople who spent a lot of time out of the office may be making a shrewd move if they choose to trade-in their mobile phone and switch to a device capable of support Google Docs.
Writing the latest Google Mobile Blog, software engineer Andrew Grieve explains the search engine has been working to allow its customers to be more productive while on the go.
And that has resulted in the current version of Google Docs now supporting editing software for the first time, meaning users can access files and change them.
Some of the benefits include the potential to work from a bus, train or even on foot, the ability of a group to each access and edit work, as well as taking notes during the course of a meeting or conference.
Mat Balez, product manager and author of a recent post on the blog, announced the firm has released Hotspot, which guides people and offers advice on local shops, restaurants and attractions.
