Trade in mobile phone for 'gateway to gaming'
Gaming fanatics who would love a handset that combines the technology and titles of a console with all the standard features of mobiles should trade in their used phones and switch to a new device made by Sony Ericsson.
The Xperia PLAY model is said by Graham McAllister, director at Vertical Slice, to be a product that offers users some great gaming experiences.
While he admits it is unlikely to compete with prestigious creations such as the iPhone, the expert suggests it will have a place in the market for those who love to play the latest titles.
"It could act as a bridge for a player who is currently a casual mobile gamer to move towards console gaming," declares Mr McAllister.
He also suggests it has such a large range of controls that it will be able to offer games to users that few such devices have done before.
Sony Ericsson launched the Xperia PLAY at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona earlier this month.
