Trade in mobile for 'clear and fast iPad 2'
Investing in a new mobile phone could mean old handsets sit around and gather dust, but consumers could recycle used mobiles and put the cash they receive towards another gadget, such as the iPad 2.
According to a Concord Securities report, this device comes with faster memory access, more RAM, higher processing power and better graphics, with this greater power possibly ensuring its competitive advantage in the "coming tablet war this year", AppleInsider reports.
In addition, its anti-reflection technology means the reading experience on the Apple product when in direct sunlight could well be improved, while its dual camera option will allow users to enjoy applications such as augmented reality, video recording, Facetime and Photo Booth.
However, the Apple iphone 5 - due to come out later this year - could well inspire a wave of mobile trade-ins.
T3's Luke Johnson recently noted that production will begin on the handset in May, with the model possibly on shelves by April.
