The BlackBerry Q5 arrives

The BlackBerry Q5 Arrives

BlackBerry has released its brand-new Q5 device which brings users an affordable mobile phone in the firm's recent range.

Users first saw the handset back in May at the company's annual Live conference, but few things were left to reveal as the majority of the features and specifications had already leaked online by then.

It's no surprise that the affordable device has a plastic casing on which the iconic QWERTY keyboard is fixed. The 3.1-inch smartphone also sports a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage along with both two and five-megapixel cameras.

The first UK retailer to announce it would be offering the device was Phones4U. but now Carphone Warehouse has revealed it will be stocking the BlackBerry Q5 from July, although other carriers like EE and Vodafone are yet to confirm either way.

Online retailer Unlocked-Mobiles is selling the SIM-free version of the BlackBerry Q5 for £349.98, which may be on the very edge of the affordable smartphone market.
