Sign up to mobile phone deal with Three for improved internet
Trading-in a mobile and switching to a handset that is operated by the network Three could be a good idea for customers who regularly use their phone's internet capability.
That is because the company has completed the first phase of its 3G upgrade project, worth approximately £400 million.
It has added almost 5,000 new sites to its network, all of which will power mobile broadband for consumers who use Three's internet on a smartphone or dongle.
The network already had the most signal points of any UK firm with 7,500, but the latest improvements have brought its total up to about 12,400.
Kevin Russell, Three's chief executive officer, says: "Smartphone and Mobile Broadband use is exploding and we have built a 3G network that reaches further than ever before, as well as bringing more capacity into urban areas where our customers need it most."
A YouGov poll earlier this summer named Three as the best provider of mobile broadband in the country, with the firm finishing top in ten of the 12 categories that were voted on.
