Review hails Nokia N97 as "fantastic"
The latest flagship device from Nokia has been hailed as "a fantastic piece of hardware" in a new review.
Duncan Geere writes in a piece for the Pocket-lint website that the Nokia N97 is one of the most hotly-anticipated gadgets of 2009 and offers his opinions on its good and bad points.
As a successor to the "wildly popular" Nokia N95, it is suggested the model may have its work cut out for it - and will likely attempt to take on models like the HTC Magic and Apple iPhone 3G.
Mr Geere states the Symbian operating system is not as slick as the Google Android software found on the former, but adds the 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen "outclasses" that of the latter.
Other highlights include "pristine" design, a full qwerty keyboard, five-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, 3.5mm headphone jack and 32 GB of internal storage which can be boosted to 48 GB with a microSDHC card.
The Nokia N97 was originally showcased in December 2008 as part of an industry event in Barcelona.
