Recycling mobile phone may be way to read news on a budget
Recycling a mobile phone may help individuals find the funds to purchase an Apple iPhone, on which they have a number of options when it comes to keeping up with the latest news.
Flora Graham, writing for CNET UK, reviews one of the newest to hit the market – the Guardian newspaper's official app.
Costing £2.99 for a six-month subscription, the expert notes this is significantly cheaper than either buying the publication in person or signing up to its website.
Among the numerous highlights of the app nominated by the author are the ability to stream videos and podcasts, an easy to find menu of top stories and access to the archives.
"If you're happy to flip through news by category, or you're looking to search deeply on specific topics, the app has plenty of fun features that will make it worth coughing up for," Ms Graham concludes.
Another recent addition to the App Store is a feature based entirely on the band Led Zeppelin.
