New BlackBerry OS rolls out
BlackBerry has begun rolling out its new 10.2 operating system to customers today (October 23rd).
It will be available for the Canadian firm's Z10, Q10 and Q5 mobile phones in the UK, with the new system being rolled out to the rest of Europe, Canada, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific at a later date.
The 10.2 update comes with a range of new features including Priority Hub, which learns which conversations are most important to users and puts these messages at the top of their inbox.
BlackBerry's successful BBM application now comes with Natural Sound and previews of any message sent over the platform, SMS or emails appearing while using other apps.
Sharing content has been made easier, with more accessible copy and paste functions.
Calendar enhancements and updates have also been added to the new OS, alongside lock screen notifications.
The firm has been in the news a lot recently as parties including Lenovo and former Apple chief executive John Sculley are considering rival bids for the business.
