Mobile games of the year (so far) listed
Pocket Gamer has published its top ten listing for the highest quality games of 2009 so far.
The online publication ranked the mobile phone titles that have emerged across the first quarter of the year and concluded that there had been some unexpected entries at the upper end.
"First it was Jenson Button riding high in the F1 championship and now Russian publisher HeroCraft's High Speed 3D has taken pole position in the [index] for the first quarter of 2009," the site explained.
The game topped the Quality Index with a score of 9.40 out of ten and was closely followed by Gameloft's Zombie Infection - which managed a rating of 9.30.
Galaxy on Fire 2 took third place honours attaining a 9.23 ranking and Tropical Towers was just behind with 9.20. LocoRoco Hi rounded out the top five with a solid 9.00 and Mystery Mania, Diamond Tumble, Luxor Quest, Metal Slug Mobile 4 and R.U.S.H. also made their own appearances.
HeroCraft's High Speed 3D offers players 20 tracks and nine cars to choose from, with a number of customisation options also included.
