iOS 7 could have major overhaul
Dedicated Apple users may be in for a bit of a surprise as reports indicate that the next mobile phone operating system may include a massive overhaul of design.
It has been common-knowledge that chief designer Sir Jonathan Ive has been given all the time he needs to create the software he feels the company needs to re-establish itself in the market.
A leak has now been given to 9to5Mac that suggests details about what the new iPhone operating system may include.
The iOS 7 is still on schedule to be released at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in a couple of weeks time and is expected to be in the next iPhone, which users will probably see towards the tail-end of this year.
A big change that the leak suggests is an overhaul of the lock screen, which has been redesigned to display just a black screen instead of the clock and image.
It indicates a more minimalistic approach throughout the operating system as fake textures are replaced with a more basic design.
The security-code interface has also been changed to display rounded-black keys with white text.
These are only rumours and users will have to wait a few more days before the WWDC on June 10th until anything can be confirmed but it is likely that a huge change will be on the cards.
