DROID unseats Apple iPhone 3G S
The Motorola DROID has been unveiled as one technology website's top phone this week, which could interest those looking to sell mobiles they no longer need.
According to online gadget news resource PC World, there is a selection of high-performance models currently out there, but the recently announced smartphone is now the most desirable.
It noted the DROID will be the first to utilise Google's Android 2.0 operating system and that overall it "impresses with a strong suite of web features and a stunning 3.7-inch display".
This means the Apple iPhone 3G S fell into second place, followed by the Motorola DEXT, the BlackBerry Bold 9700, T-Mobile's myTouch 3G, the Palm Pre and the HTC-built G1.
Also featured on the list were the BlackBerry Tour 9630 and HTC's Droid Eris and Hero.
No details have emerged on when the DROID will hit the UK, but with Vodafone and Orange having announced the availability of the Apple iPhone 3G S, the second handset on the list may soon become an even more popular choice.
