'Cool Apple iPhone the future of mobile business'
Consumers looking to sell mobiles may be buoyed by one expert's comments on the Apple iPhone 3G S.
Speaking to delegates at the Westminster eForum Keynote Seminar, More than Talk - The Future of Mobile, a spokesman for technology information specialist Ovum said the gadget had changed the market.
The firm's practice leader for mobile Jeremy Green said that not only was the handset a "cool device" that was popular, but it had also given its manufacturers the chance to change the way business is done.
"Apple is at the centre of this new version of the business model. They take responsibility for the end-to-end experience of the customer and they also sit in the middle of the value chain," he explained.
The company's iPhone 3G shifted around 7.4 million units in the three months ending September 26th this year, helping it establish record quarterly returns in a time of global recession.
