Competition may illustrate quality of cameras on Nokia mobile phones
After studying the results of a worldwide competition, mobile phone users with a passion for taking photographs may decide a Nokia device is best for them.
The Finnish brand sponsored an award run by fizwoz, the cameraphone and photo-trading web application firm, which saw a number of images taken on mobiles entered.
One winner, Gianfranco Rossi from Argentina, took his snap of the country's football supporters during the World Cup on a Nokia 5800XM mobile phone.
He said: "To me winning means hope because I [have] never won a contest before and now I feel like I can win."
Meanwhile, a Nokia E90 handset was used by Kenyan student Allan Kabinga to capture his picture and Rodrigo Pessin put his Nokia N97 through its paces in order to create an image of a dog with a Brazil flag.
Nokia's latest models appear to be keeping up the firm's tradition of providing high-quality photo-taking devices, with the N8 featuring a state-of-the-art 12-megapixel camera.
