Cash from selling a mobile may help with purchase of "thinnest smartphone e
Consumers with bulky phones could trade in their mobiles for the newest Apple option, which has been described as the "thinnest smartphone" on the market.
At 9.3mm thick, the new iPhone 4 packs in a lot of high-quality features, such as an improved processor, a 960-by-640-pixel touchscreen and a front-loaded camera for video calling.
Steve Jobs, chief executive of Apple, said: "FaceTime video calling sets a new standard for mobile communication and our new retina display is the highest resolution display ever ... We have been dreaming about ... these breakthroughs for decades."
Other features which could sway those with old mobile phones are the ability to multitask, easily switching between apps without having to close one and load up the other.
Those who cannot wait to get their hands on the newest iPhone upgrade will need to pre-register to receive the device when it is launched in the UK on June 24th.
