Businesses may benefit from selling mobile phones
Businesses may have all the incentive they require to sell mobile phones and invest in newer models, should the words of one expert prove to be accurate.
Dr Charles Trotman, head of rural business development for the Country Land and Business Association, explained broadband is now a critical factor in a firm's success.
He revealed that companies located in urban areas tend to outperform rivals in rural premises due to their superior links to technology, such as mobile broadband.
"I think we've got to work on a level playing field - it's got to be proportionate. Now, if the government says it's trying to push for a universal service commitment, marvellous," Dr Trotman stated.
In the meantime, firms looking to improve could invest in the latest mobiles to ensure their technology does not let them down when it comes to using the web.
The Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development recently revealed take-up of mobile broadband has risen.
