Android gamers offered mysterious challenge
Those looking for some cheap and cheerful fun on the latest phones to feature Google's operating system may be interested in a recent review.
Damien McFerran writes in a piece for Pocket Gamer that a new title has emerged which is downloadable from the Android Market at a low price - and might be ideal for fans of retro gaming.
Mystery Castle 2 is noted as having not changed much since the launch of its predecessor, but has benefitted from the inclusion of an "expanded playing area and higher resolution visuals".
He adds the price of the game makes it "excellent value for money," and concludes: "It may be old skool, but Mystery Castle 2 could teach modern games a few tricks."
In the application, players are challenged to guide Monty the Wizard through a number of puzzles and plots while fighting enemies in an attempt to overthrow an evil vampire.
The latest phones compatible with the game include the T Mobile G1 and the Vodafone-exclusive HTC Magic.
