The ZTE Nubia Z5 was unveiled by the manufacturer at an event in China, and the Android mobile phone boasts impressive specifications.
A five-inch screen will feature, putting it between the large Samsung Galaxy S3 handset and the Galaxy Note 2 phablet.
Its display will be in full 1080 p HD, meaning that photographs, videos, games and the user interface should look crisp and attractive.
Budding photographers can utilise a 13-megapixel snapper for scenery and group shots, whereas a front-facing two-megapixel lens will be great for self-portraits and video calls.
Pictures, app files and other data can be stored on 32 GB of internal memory, which is the middle option for Apple iPhone 5 customers.
Inclusion of the Android operating system gives users access to Google Play, which has more than 700,000 games and tools available for download.
The smartphone may be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013, which takes place between January 8th and 11th.
