HTC has released its J Butterfly phablet in Japan, not yet confirming whether it will go on sale in the UK.
The company is entering the smartphone-come-tablet market with a device sporting impressive speculations.
It will run the latest version of the Google Android platform, Jelly Bean 4.1, and a 1.5 GHz processor plus 2 GB of RAM should also ensure the handset performance is fast and smooth.
The full-HD five-inch display is likely to attract consumers who like to watch movies on their smartphone, and expandable storage via microSD should ensure there’s plenty of space for the large data files.
A rear eight-megapixel camera will feature, which is able to record footage in 1080p. There is also a 2.1-megapixel snapper to the front which is helpful for those who make video calls.
The phablet supports the latest Long Term Evolution (LTE) and Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies.
Just like the HTC One X and iPhone handsets, there will be a choice of black or white. However, there’s also an attractive red-coloured option.
