Professionals around the world may soon be looking into mobile phone recycling and swapping their BlackBerrys for iPhones, with Apple products apparently gaining traction fast in the business world.
According to the Wall Street Journal, several companies have trialled the use of iPads and iPhones in favour of BlackBerrys.
What’s more, technology analyst Chris Whitmore of Deutsche Bank issued a research note comparing the functions of both for corporate users, praising the former’s ability to combine both personal and business use, as well as its capacity to access multiple applications.
“After testing corporate email on [the] iPhone for the past few months, there is no going back,” he went on to remark.
Other factors that could see people considering trading in mobiles include augmented reality (AR) – according to Juniper Research, retailers, brands and vendors are all increasingly interested in this form of technology, although Brits may still be drawn to the BlackBerry for the time being, given that some are yet to be convinced AR is little more than a gimmick.
