Increased confidence in the activities of leading phone brand HTC could persuade some consumers to sell mobiles and switch to one of the company’s handsets.
According to the Financial Times, HTC is claiming the result of legal action taken against it by US manufacturer Apple is a “victory” for itself.
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) deemed that only one of ten patent complaints made by Apple was worthy of being accepted.
HTC has confirmed it will be able to quickly comply with the ruling, stating: “Since the infringing elements identified by the ITC involve and impact only a very minimal part of the user interface, we will remove it as soon as possible and sell non-infringing products.”
So, with the company’s devices set to remain largely the same and its credibility arguably boosted, mobile users might wish to take an interest in upgrading to one of its devices.
The network Three recently confirmed it is adding one of the company’s models to its portfolio – the HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio.
