Consumers will be given a greater choice of networks for the Apple iPhone from today (January 14th), as the handset is now available on Vodafone.
Mobile recycling could be an option that is considered by those who want to get their hands on the mobile, which was previously only available through Orange, O2 and Tesco.
The handset is claimed to have speed and performance which are twice as fast as the 3G model.
Guy Laurence, chief executive officer of Vodafone UK, said: "We will offer an outstanding iPhone experience wherever our customers live, work and travel, delivering speed and reliability – something our customers have told us they really value."
He added that iPhone customers will "really feel the advantage of being with Vodafone" as it began preparations over a year ago.
Google’s Nexus One will soon be available on Vodafone and will be added to other networks in the coming months.
