Consumers could find it easier and more cost effective than ever to use their mobile phone while overseas, following a recent Virgin Mobile announcement.
The mobile network has revealed EU Travel Passes which has the intention of providing consumers with a simple and cost effective way of accessing the internet from their handset while overseas.
Twenty-four-hour unlimited access to the internet is available for £6 and could let users of the operator’s phones reduce their costs when going online abroad.
Alternatively, one hour access is available for £4.
Jonathan Kini, director of mobile at Virgin Media, said that its customers will no longer have to worry about accessing the internet while they are overseas.
He said: “Whether it’s searching for the best pizzeria in Rome on your mobile or uploading photos onto Facebook with a laptop and mobile broadband, customers now have control over what they spend on holiday.”
Mobile recycling could be an option that worth considering for consumers who would like to make more use of the internet.
